Doodle Tough Toys

We started our small country kennel here in north central Indiana in 2005 with one goal in mind, to provide quality loving family pets to families wanting to add a new member to their home… We’ve always owned golden retrievers, and loved their loving temperament and intelligence, but we saw a need for this type of dog in a smaller, more manageable version.
Thanks a BUNCH to Henry for being a great toy tester and to Caroline for putting together this great list of doodle-tough toys! One of Henry’s favorites is his Crinket.

“Dogs love the sound of an empty water bottle! Designed to provide a protective barrier around a water bottle, Crinkits give your dog an interactive toy they won’t want to put down. Our very durable material allows for tough chewers to play with an empty water bottle. Use the Crinkit as treat dispenser by putting a smaller 8oz or 12 oz water bottle inside the Crinkit, which allows room for a treat on the end where you in insert the bottle. Does your dog love water, because the Crinkit floats!! Although the Crinkit is very durable, no dog toy is indestructible. We always recommend supervising your dog when they are playing with their Crinkit. ” – from Zigoo Pets

Henry really loves his crinket!
Caroline suggests putting the bottles in the opposite way and leaving off the lid.
Henry also loves sturdy balls you can toss in the house such as the Hollee Roller Ball.

“Stuffed” toys from Tuffy Toys with a strength rating for 9 or 10.

Any toy from West Paw Designs… Henry has tested the Hurley, Bumi and Tizzy.

Kong medium balls to throw with the Chuck-it, Kong Safestix, Kong Squeezz Dumbbell, Kong Ring, Kong Squeez Stick and Kong Bone (these Kong toys are all made of the same material which seems to hold up).

Caroline also recommends deer and elk antlers (she watches for sales on these) and especially moose antler paddle pieces (Henry gets size medium from Maine Moose Antlers )
